I'm not as old as Methuselah (Gen. 5:27) but I'm old enough to remember a song from decades past. Do you remember It Is No Secret What God Can Do?? It came to mind very recently and I found myself singing the song. I marveled that I remembered most of the words and the tune. Here are details about Stuart Hamblin and the origin of the song.
The chimes of time ring out the news
Another day is through
Someone slipped and fell
Was that someone you?
You may have longed for added strength
Your courage to renew
Do not be disheartened
For I have news for you
It is no secret what God can do
What He's done for others, He'll do for you
With arms wide open, He'll pardon you
It is no secret what God can do
There is no night for in His light
You never walk alone
Always feel at home
Wherever you may go
There is no power can conquer you
While God is on your side
Take Him at His promise
Don't run away and hide
It is no secret what God can do
What He's done for others, He'll do for you
With arms wide open, He'll pardon you
It is no secret what God can do
Listen to It Is No Secret What God Can Do.

Greetings from Wordwise Hymns. It sounds like your travels have taken you to some wonderful places. But it was your remembrance of Stuart Hamblen's song that caught my eye today. I posted a blog on it myself this morning. (And if you click on the link at the top of the blog, you can see and hear Mr. Hamblen sing his song.)
ReplyDeleteTruly, the "tender mercies" of God are all around us (Ps. 145:9). No secret at all! God bless you.
