Here in Orlando, we're "rocking & rolling" with 25 to 35 mile per hour wind. It is sprinkling rain; it is dark and gloomy!! ~~ I traveled (thanks to Google) to my former residence near Charlotte, North Carolina. ~~ I visited my youngest son in New York City, and a granddaughter near Buffalo, New York. ~~ I traveled to Camarillo, California, to visit with my middle son and grandchildren. ~~ Finally to Bend, Oregon, to visit my oldest son and his family. ~~ Disagreeable weather everywhere!!~~~~~~~~~~

The fancy thermometer said 44 degrees but indicated "feels like 32 degrees." ~~ The trailer is still bouncing around in the wind!! I'm jumping for joy because I don't have rain or snow, or hurricane-strength wind!!
GREAT to hear you're feeling better. The weather isn't maybe what you expected when you headed for Florida....but you're in central Florida, not south Florida. They get the weather most people think of when they envision Florida. We're about 5 degrees colder up here in north Florida (wind still gusting), and maybe the on and off rain we've had since last night is letting up...except during the Jaquars/Redskins (NFL) the announcers said there were SNOW flurries. We had snow cover the ground here back in maybe '87? Not much, but just enough to cause havoc with drivers who's never seen it. It was like watching bumper cars. Stay snug and warm, and don't blow away, or we'll have to nickname you Dorothy!

ReplyDeleteWe spent Christmas on the Mountain Top above Lake Lure with Dennis and Maria.
We got snowed in for an extra day. 9-12" of snow and then 30-50 MPH winds about -5' wind chill.
We kept nice and warm, played in the snow on sleds and great fellowship.
God created a besautiful picture for us.
