Fun in the sun !!

Sadly, 14 bicycles, and 3 BBQ, were stolen last night!! I've felt so safe here, I have not locked my T@B and KIA. Second picture: Where a lot of us work (Wycliffe Associates building). Third & fourth: Where we play. Picture three: The Activity Center in the background (where we enjoy fine food [pancake breakfast] and fellowship). Picture four: W.A. building in the far background. Co-laborers were in a Pickleball competition. Then: A tree in bloom next to the Activity Center.

  1. That's awful. They must have had a pick-up or similar vehicle for that many bikes; I suspect unfortunately it's not a major crime that will gain a lot of detective's hours. Perhaps the residents can be on the look out for security cameras in the area that might have caught the vehicle passing by with a load of bikes, and suggest it to the police contact. Or perhaps some have pictures of the bikes they could dig up, to be shown at area pawn shops. Perhaps post or just watch ads on craigslist. Such a shame. On the good side, if you have to be the victim of a crime, at least it's just "stuff," and stuff can be replaced. Hopefully it will never happen again.

  2. There are security cameras, and a golf cart drives around the campus. The golf cart, with a large SECURITY sign, doesn't run at night. The thief walked (rode?) the bikes off the RV Park under cover of darkness. The exit point was the far end, a primitive area, because a three-wheel bike was abandoned there.
