Imagine seeing a paddle-wheel steamboat in the middle of Shelburne Museum. The Ticonderoga was built in 1906 and sailed Lake Champlain until 1953. In 1955 it was moved two miles from the lake "in a remarkable engineering effort that stands as one of the great feats of maritime preservation."
